Final class 67 cad/cam revealed.
We have now 'locked down' the final design for the class 67 from the original cad/cam pictures shown here previously and also viewed by many modellers at recent shows.

Basically we weren't happy with certain aspects of the 'face' of the locomotive with it's complexity of angles, coupled to a couple of niggling detail problems.
To get this right has obviously taken time, and has led to a delay in the model's release for which we apologise for. This engine is now scheduled for an early 2009 release. We hope you all understand that we would rather now take the time to get it looking correct than release a sub-standard product.

Specification for the model remains unchanged and includes the following;
Low Friction mechanism, 'super Creep' motor, large brass flywheels, RP25.72 darkened profile wheel sets, pin point bearings and pickups, etched see through side grilles all round, separate windscreen wipers, etched roof radiator grille, directional lighting, NEM coupling pocket, accessory bag with alternate couplers and air pipes, moulded and painted cab interior, cast tungsten chassis and is DCC ready with a 6 pin NEM 651 socket on board as well as 'hard points' for those that wish to wire a non NEM chip to the engine.

3 Running numbers of 250 each will be released at launch including;
ND-101a 67006 'Royal Sovereign' in Royal Train Claret
ND-101b 67009 in EWS maroon and gold
ND-101c 67027 'Rising Star' in EWS maroon and gold
Pre- orders are filling fast for all 3 variants at release so please do not delay in reserving yours with your Dapol stockist.
Please note that pictures on this section may be subject to a slight distortion and should not be viewed as indicative of the final model. |
