This model needs to be hauled by a locomotive, as 'motorised' merely reflects the motor driving the cleaning heads and not the movement of the model.
Replacement heads, pads and consumables are also available from our website whould you need them.
Please only use a 'plastic compatible' cleaner for filling the fluid reservior in the track cleaner. Dapol can not be held responsible for damage caused by other cleaning fluid and only recommend Dapol track cleaning fluid (Dapol Track Cleaning Fluid is not included with the model).
The model is DCC ready

The delivery was successful. The only problem is that the UK has left the EU, which forced me to pay an additional €30 in taxes!
The product is as I expected. It's very good.
I still don’t know if it works in 12V or strictly in 9V. I am waiting for a response from you on this subject.
I have a Märklin C-track digital railway set-up using many curved turnouts (Art. 20671 & Art 20672) with lighted lanterns mounted. Due the length of the car and depth onto the track of the Track Cleaner (bottom black middle box), the waggon details at each intersection - therefore not usable on such e set-up.
The packaging inside the cardboard box (plastic) was broken, the wheel pushe d out of the axis holders. The cardboard box however was OK - how can that happen.
This is overall very disappointing since the general set-up suggests a solid solution.
I bought one and it does a good job of picking up the dust. The one down fall that I find, is the coupler is truck mounted, instead of being body mounted, like all of the other US freight cars. The coupler is also too large. It's the same size as the KaDee #5. I use the KaDee #58 that is closer to scale in size. I may have to rebuild it to a body mount coupler box. I hope that you will make the necessary changes for the US market.
As a possible purchaser there's no mention re DCC Ready or not. Is it DCC READY?
