Excellent

I have put assembled two of these and am very happy with the result. I am not the most competent of modellers, having been away from the activity for the best part of 50 years.The parts go together easily. I am told that the kit is actually 1/87 scale i.e. H0 rather than 1/76 00 scale. All I can say is that the assembled vehicles look entirely correct on my H0 layout.

The only problems I encountered was getting parts to stick together permanently (I used MEK)but using small pieces of polystyrene at the corners obviated this problem. Some of the finer parts (door hinges) when moulded in plastic look quite heavy, but several of them can be substituted with bits of 54/6 office staples. IMHO this is an excellent kit for any starter in railway modelling. I am looking to buy two more.

If you really want to go the whole hog in authenticity, a French firm make kits for the end ladders, but they cost a lot more than the kit itself.
