I have several items of N Gauge rolling stock that are not compliant with the NEM standard that I needed to enable coupling, or more accurately, uncoupling, from my NEM equipped locomotives. The Dapol NEM conversion kit seemed the obvious answer – I was not disappointed. It’s somewhat tricky properly removing the existing couplings, but with care it can be done effectively. The fitting jig that enables the correct alignment of the new pockets is essential, without it, I doubt a satisfactory outcome could be achieved.

Nem pocket conversion kit
I wanted to convert some older model rolling stock to NEM pockets so I could use the Dapol easi shunt couplers. This is a great way of converting this stock and has a handy tool for not only setting the pockets and reseting the arms and also checking the back to back measurements of the wheelsets.
