I have used Kadee couplings in )) gauge with success and expected this 009 version to be just as good. Sadly I had mixed results, the drop own operating arm fouls the point rails and after much investigation and thought I cut off the arm and just ran the train in a rake I do not intend to do much shunting). This was a success achieving reliable close coupling and I will probably buy some more.

40% Failure Rate
So far, I have bought 3 packs of short are couplings and had a 40% failure rate where the knuckle does not close, even though the spring is attached. Dapol quality control is non-existent.
