Stroudley 4 Wheel Coaches

Southern Railway Stroudley coaches are about to enter production at our facility in Chirk by our dedicated and skilled workforce. We were pleased to be able to launch these models at Guildex 2023 with the first decorated samples are pictured below.  

In this production run we will be making the Southern lined green, electrically illuminated version of the coaches and all the associated underframe detailing. The run will see two Brake third coaches, a composite and an all third coach being produced. The coaches will all have short buffers and couplings, with the all 3rd brake coaches having the prototypically longer buffers at the brake end of the coach.

• Diecast compensated chassis for excellent riding characteristics 
• Superbly detailed body with many separately added detailed parts 
• Metal sprung buffers 
• Expertly applied livery and decoration 
• Lightbar Fitted options available (DC & DCC Versions) 
• A close coupling bar will be offered with these coaches for the converted main line coaches with buffers. All close coupled coaches will be able to negotiate R2 curves.

Project Update

Decorated samples have been produced and the final tweaks are being made at the moment. We expect to see these models in shops towards the end of Quarter 2 2024. they will make the ideal accompaniment to a green Southern liveried Terrier
