Dapol OO Gauge 517 Review
Small Correction
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jenny Kirk for producing such a fantastic and detailed review of the Dapol OO Gauge Class 517 model. It’s great to see the model being so thoroughly explored and shared with the community.
We would, however, like to clarify one point mentioned in the video commentary. Reference is made to solder pads on the daughter PCB board, suggesting these may be used to connect a stay-alive module. These pads are not intended for that purpose, and a stay-alive should be connected using the traditional method.
For clarity, Jenny was supplied with an earlier iteration of the instruction manual. The manuals included with production models do not make any reference to using these pads for stay-alive connections.
We hope this helps avoid any confusion and ensures the best possible experience when working with the model.
